This shiny event Celebi was distributed via serial codes to Pokémon Sword and Shield players who preordered tickets of the upcoming Pokémon twenty-third movie, Coco (Koko), Japanese release to commemorate the appearance of Okoya Forest Celebi in the movie.
The tickets can be purchased from August 7, 2020 to December 24, 2020. The codes could be used to redeem the Pokémon until March 31, 2021.
What makes this event Celebi special?
Though a shiny Celebi can be obtained in Generation II, this is the very first time a shiny Celebi is released as an event Pokemon.
